Genetic alteration of gene: A transition point mutation resulted in a glycine to glutamic acid substitution at position 304 (G304E). The substitution is within the tyrosine kinase binding domain (TKB). Targeting also introduced a HSVTK/pGKNeo cassette upstream of the mutation, but the cassette was subsequently removed by Cre-LoxP deletion in vivo.

Phenotype Homozygous State Mice have a physically normal outward appearance and are generally healthy. Up to ~40% homozygous females have blockages in the uterine horns and fallopian tubes, while ~25% of homozygous males appear infertile. All homozygous mice show slight splenomegaly (~50% larger than wildtype control).
