Phenotype Heterozygous State Flvmr Phenotype – dominant phenotype, heterozygotes are resistant to infection. Tlr4 phenotype is dominant and heterozygous mice show responsiveness to LPS.

PCR protocols Master Mix B - PCR for congenic region on Chr5 of C3H/HeJARC, C3H.PRI-Flv<r>, C3H.M.domesticus-Flv<r> & C3H.MOLD-Flv<mr> mice
Master Mix A - PCR for congenic region on Chr5 of C3H.M.domesticus-Flv<r> (DUB) and C3H.MOLD-Flv<mr> (MOLD) mice. DUB mice were derived from a wild mouse that was trapped in Dubbo (NSW) and then It was backcrossed to C3H/HeJARC mice for 11 backcross generations, while MOLD mice were created by 10 generations of backcross breeding of an inbred MOLD/Rk mouse to C3H/HeJARC mice.
Characteristics Assayed For Flavivirus susceptibility was measured as mortality and brain virus titres following IC inoculation with a Flavivirus (MVE). The phenotyping procedures can be found in Urosevic et al 1999 (see ref 2 and 4 below).
