Phenotype Homozygous State NODlprT°(2004) homozygotes have lymphadenopathy similar to the NOD.MRL(C3)-Faslpr/LtJ parental strain (see for complete details of duplicate stran called NOD.MRL(c3)-Faslpr/DoiJ). This strain also has autoimmune characteristics similar to that seen on the MRL background (e.g. immune complex glomerulonephritis). Thee mice do not develop islet infiltrates. Older mice (20weeks) develop larger livers. (This is possibly a consequence of liver infiltrates blocking vessels)
Phenotype Heterozygous State Similar to NOD/LtJ but there is a possible reduced incidence of diabetes though not formerly tested.
