Strain name: C57BL/6JSfdAnu-Tg(IghelMD4)4Ccg/AnuApb
Nickname: Hamlet
Strain designation name: C57BL/6JSfdAnu-Tg(IghelMD4)4Ccg/AnuApb
Genetics
Strain Types Mutant strain
Coisogenic
Genetic Details Transgenic
Mode of Inheritance Dominant
1.   Transgene: transgene insertion 4, Christopher C Goodnow
Mutant Construction Technique None
Phenotype
Phenotype Homozygous State Bone marrow contains fewer combined numbers of combined pro-pre B cells than on a B6 background. Transgenic mice, more than 90% of B-cells in the spleen are derived from the transgene (a allotype) and are predominantly IgM and IgD. There is a moderate reduction in B cell frequency and number in spleen and lymph node. B cells did not express Ly-1 or Mac-1. The Ig phenotype of splenic B cells in adult mice (IgMhiIgDlo-hi) resembled that of splenic B cells in non-transgenic 1 - 2-week-old mice.
Genetic Background Currently Maintained C57BL/6JSfdAnu
